The Wednesday Team extra

These three people formed the backbone of the present Wednesday Team of ringers that came together in 1986. Eric, the eldest member, played the big bass bells until fairly recently, now plays the smaller bass bells, he was always very agile and a great asset to the team. Marje now plays top treble bells, but used to have a very busy part in the tenor section. Marje and Eric no longer take part in rallies and Christmas ringing, however they still enjoy ringing handbells 'off the table' on Wednesday afternoons. They have helped and supported young ringers and a few older ones too, thus setting a wonderful example to us all. Each New Year, they issue an open invitation to all ringers to come to their house for a get-together where there is always a lovely atmosphere - we hope to be going there for many years to come!
